DL Orthodontic Laboratory Warranty Policy
DL Orthodontic Laboratory is committed to providing high-quality orthodontic products and services. We ensure the durability and craftsmanship of all our appliances and services. Our warranty policy is designed to offer our customers peace of mind and ensure complete satisfaction with our products.
1. Warranty Coverage
DL Orthodontic Laboratory provides a warranty for defects in materials and workmanship for all orthodontic appliances and related products manufactured or repaired by us. This warranty covers:
Orthodontic Appliances: retainers, expanders, splints, and other orthodontic devices.
Custom Fabrications: Any custom orthodontic appliances made based on the specific needs of the patient.
Repairs: Any repair work performed on appliances provided by DL Orthodontic Laboratory.
2. Warranty Duration
Orthodontic Appliances (ex. Hawleys , etc.): 3 months from the date of delivery to the patient or orthodontist.
Retainers (clear retainers Essix’s): 3 months from the date of delivery.
Repairs and Adjustments: 3 months from the date of completion of the repair or adjustment service.
3. What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers:
Defects in Materials: Any defect that arises due to faulty materials used in the production of the appliance.
Workmanship Defects: Issues arising from errors in craftsmanship, such as improper fit, incorrect molding, or structural defects in the appliance.
Manufacturing Defects: Any flaw in the appliance resulting from the manufacturing process, including errors in molding or fabrication.
4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover:
Normal Wear and Tear: Regular use and aging of the appliance (e.g., minor scratches, discoloration, or gradual loss of effectiveness).
Damage Due to Misuse: Any damage caused by improper use, accidental breakage, neglect, or mishandling of the appliance.
Alterations: Any changes made to the appliance after delivery (e.g., adjustments by third parties or unauthorized modifications).
Failure to Follow Instructions: Appliances that are not maintained properly or have been used in a manner inconsistent with the prescribed usage guidelines.
Loss or Theft: The warranty does not cover lost or stolen products.
Patient Non-Compliance: If the device fails due to non-compliance with the orthodontist’s instructions or the patient's failure to wear the appliance as prescribed.
5. Warranty Claim Process
If you believe the appliance has a defect covered by this warranty, please follow these steps:
Contact DL Orthodontic Laboratory: Reach out to our team within the warranty period. Provide a clear description of the issue and include any photos or documentation, if possible.
Return the Appliance: You will be asked to return the appliance to DL Orthodontic Laboratory for inspection. Shipping costs for warranty claims will be covered by us within the first 30 days from the delivery date. After 30 days, the cost of return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.
Evaluation: Our team will evaluate the appliance to determine if it qualifies for warranty coverage. Upon inspection, if we find that the appliance is defective due to materials or workmanship, we will take the appropriate action (repair, replacement, or refund).
6. Warranty Remedies
If the appliance is found to be defective under warranty, we will provide the following remedies:
Repair: If the defect can be repaired, we will fix the appliance at no additional cost.
Replacement: If the appliance cannot be repaired, we will replace it with an identical or equivalent item at no additional cost.
Refund: If neither repair nor replacement is feasible, we will issue a full or partial refund for the product.
7. Exclusions
The following are not covered under this warranty:
Custom Work: Products that were custom-made for specific needs, and any adjustments made to them, are excluded from warranty if they have been altered or modified after the initial creation.
Non-compliance with Care Instructions: If the appliance has failed due to improper care or failure to follow prescribed usage instructions, the warranty will be void.
Damage Due to Patient's Actions: If the patient causes damage to the appliance, such as bending or breaking, the warranty will not apply.
8. Liability Limitation
DL Orthodontic Laboratory’s liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. We are not responsible for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the appliance. Under no circumstances will DL Orthodontic Laboratory’s liability exceed the original purchase price of the product.
9. Warranty Transferability
This warranty applies to the original purchaser or the original patient for whom the appliance was made. The warranty is non-transferable and cannot be assigned to another party.
10. Modifications to Warranty Policy
DL Orthodontic Laboratory reserves the right to modify or update this warranty policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and applicable warranty claims will be handled in accordance with the version of the warranty policy in effect at the time of the claim.

Removable appliances: complimentary appliance case.
Acrylic appliances: choice of colors & custom effects.
